Curves Garden
These clients were in a hurry to move and wanted their neglected back garden to match up to all the work they had done in the interior of the house. Their project needed a quick, easy overhaul with simple quality features that would appeal to the family market. Timber was used as the main component of the design with new fenced boundaries to establish the space and a large cedar deck the width of the garden was crafted with a soft curve to the edge. Recessed lighting was added along the curved edge to highlight the level change and to give off a lovely soft glow in the evenings.

Keeping with the curved theme a new lawn was laid to turf and the edges were shaped into a soft oval. As the house was to be sold imminently the planting was required just to give flowers through the summer and give an impression of future borders, so a selection of free flowering shrubs and perennials with rounded or button shaped flowers were selected:

Viburnan opulus
Hydrangeas
Sedums
Santolina
Marguerite daisy
Buxus - clipped box balls finished off the look

The clients were delighted with the finished product and were immediately able to sell up and achieve their asking price!
